A common language for collections

Managing scientific names and their synonyms connects accessions, specimens and knowledge about taxa. These functions are described in the architecture of the BOTA-NOM and BOTA-TAX modules.

World Flora Online

The Botalista project envisages a regularly updated thesaurus of Latin names through World Flora Online (WFO), an international initiative making plant knowledge available online.

The sources also describe a proposed collaboration with Floriscope for hybrid and cultivar names. The scope of these exchanges and their current availability should be confirmed with the association.
